I thought ti was so obvious, what they were aiming for - reaction. but they got it. Even from people like me who didn&#39;t care for them and told other so. It was win win for their marketing strategy.<br />A few of their beers I tried were strange, even quite bad, to be honest.<br />However, I didn&#39;t want to be too judgemental and personally write off the brewery, just because I didn&#39;t agree with their style, so I gave the beers another chance. They do make some good beers. Some of them innovative. <br />I trisd both Tokios, in Tokyo, at a special pretasting from bottles donated by the importer. They were good. I&#39;m yet to have a BrewDog beer I don&#39;t like.<br /><br />As for the hype. I think that is something they&#39;ll have to review sooner or later. There are several other breweries as good who don&#39;t have quite the same marketing nous, and they&#39;re not as well known as they deserve to be as a result.
