This one indeed got a lot of attention, but where was it brewed? Faust doesn't give me that impression. It's more like as if someone said "You know what'd be cool? Putting gold in beer!" "Yeah! Let's do it!". And the result is something that doesn't bring anything new and hardly any added value to the drinking experience, just like XCLNT.

Besides, I believe there are better and more efficient ways to prove Czechs that beer isn't only something cheap to be drunk in large ammounts. The success of Jubiler IPA, Matuška, Kocour, etc. are proof of that.Pivní Filosofhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17883511608403454943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5042627331437123482.post-60119263975960329492012-01-25T11:48:26.158+01:002012-01-25T11:48:26.158+01:00Comparing XCLNT to Faust seem unfair to me. XCLNT ...Comparing XCLNT to Faust seem unfair to me. XCLNT is regular, mass-produced beer, whilst Faust production is extremely limited - there will be no more than around 200 bottles. It is meant to be something special, it is suitable as a gift. Is it a publicity stunt? Sure. But I believe it could also help changing the way most Czechs see beer: as a cheap drink, which is to be consumed in large amounts.Martin Baumannoreply@blogger.com
