I really liked the Gnoff's selection as a whole as well. It was really great to put things in its proper perspective, I think.

Hi! Fun to see you got to taste some Swedish beer! "Gnoff" had sent you a nice selection of both industrial and craft beers.

If you get more chances, try to get more from Nynäshamn, and some from Dugges in Gothenburg and some from Jämtlands brewery. And also Oppigårds. They are the best craft breweries i Sweden right now.

I must tell you me and my wife was sitting in our hotelroom in Prague the other day. Trying to decide where to have dinner, when i rembered a post from you about "Klasterni Senk". What a find! Delicious food at low prices in great environment. Thanks for a great blog and "Skål" from Sweden

Well, Im not sure about the ownership of three towns nowadays, but I know they produce mediocre beers in large scale!
To me, the beer standard in Sweden is more even than in Denmark. Not so many terrible ones and not so many top ones as in Denmark!
By the way, thanks for your blog! Its great and has made my visits to Czech rep greater!

guldkällan is brewed at Åbro, an industrial brewer in south sweden. spendrups and arboga are also industrial breweries, spendrups one of the biggest.
All beers above 3.5% abv are labeled strong beer (starköl) and are only sold at systembolaget (government run shops..). Beers sold at supermarkets etc cant be more than 3.5% abv...
