I heard several people remarking on bottled Oldgott not being the same as on tap. I guess it's the kind of beer you have to drink right off the barrel.
X33 should be better, though. I hope you will like it. It is one of my favourite beers in the world.

I was in Prague this summer, and as a beer lover it was impossible for me not to fall in love with czech beers, and the beautiful city itself.

So, I was browsing the web looking for some good beer pages to revoke still fresh memories from Prague, and I arrived at your beautiful blog.

We were at "U Medvidku" (since I'm a Slav too, it would be maybe even more appropriate to say that we were "U Medvidku" ;-) and tasted the glorious Oldgott. It really is amazing, and although it is expensive by Prague standards, here in Croatia you will find standard industrial tasteless lagers at the same price, if not more expensive.

The beer is just as you described it, so beautiful, that four of us that were there were so overwhelmed by it, that when the waiter came and asked us if we want another one, we already had one glass too much, but we said to the waiter in one voice: "How can we say 'No' to such a beer?"

I was really impressed by its bittersweet balance in the taste, and of course the atmosphere at the brewery is beautiful with all the surrounding aromas is beatiful and it just intensifies the experience of this beautiful beer.

I bought a few bottles to take it home, but it wasn't as good, I mean it was great, but not that great as when it is fresh on the spot.

I haven't tasted X33 yet, but as I read your post, I rushed to my cellar and brought a bottle, and will taste it a bit later, I'm really excited.

Thanks fot the great blog, I think I will become a frequent visitor from now on, and hopefully will visit Prague someday soon.
